Hospitality Management Program Hosts First Annual Scholarship Dinner
The School of Merchandising and Hospitality Management hosted the first annual
Hospitality Management Scholarship Dinner on March 31, 2008. The fun-filled
event was held at the Club at Gateway Center. The four-course menu included Roasted Veal Consomme with Quenelles, Cornmeal Encrusted Softshell
Crab, Citrus Slaw and Avocado Aioli, Pan-Roasted Supreme of Chicken, and White
Bean Ragout and Baby Vegetables. The evening concluded with a specialty dessert tasting by Executive Pastry Chef Liz Barbato of Restaurant Bijoux Dallas.
Proceeds from the event support many scholarships that are named for our
internationally renowned hospitality management faculty [Jerry Dickenson, Lea Dopson, Johnny Sue Reynolds, Richard Tas,
and J.T. Whitaker]. A special thanks to alumni, faculty, and staff for your participation.
