Dr. Soo-Kyoung Ahn, current scholar
from Ewha Womans University, conducts research in social responsibility of fashion brands, brand association transfer, co-marketing alliances between the fashion and non-fashion industries, and DeMarketing.

Established in 2000, the SMHM International Visiting Scholars Program has welcomed 14 scholars from South Korea for post-doctoral or sabbatical research. The purpose of this program is to promote cross-cultural understanding, foster the exchange of ideas, engage in collaborative research, build research and language skills, and contribute to the body of knowledge through refereed presentations and publications. Visiting scholars are provided office space among the SMHM faculty, participate in SMHM events and programs, and attend industry-based board meetings. Opportunities to guest lecture and teach are also available.

 

Visiting scholars must demonstrate research capability through scholarly output and engage in research that is aligned with the mission of the School of Merchandising and Hospitality Management. Interested candidates must submit letter of application and vita to the address below. Electronic submissions are accepted. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
