Join a select group of students on a study abroad excursion to Hong Kong and China. During this intense 3-week living and learning experience, students earn academic credits by touring factories and interacting with industry executives in the global marketplace. Students experience traditional dim sum, visit the one-time Portuguese colony of Macau, and enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of Hong Kong.
The Merchandising Division continuously seeks innovative ways to integrate an international perspective for all students. Approximately 30 students, unable to participate in the Hong Kong/China study tour this year, enrolled in an experimental course, E-Passport. This resident-based course aligned with the study abroad program. A videographer accompanied the study abroad students and streamed video to UNT students through our web-based course development system. Collaborative teams investigated strategies for merchandising and retailing in international markets.
