Why an MBA/MS in Merchandising or Hospitality Management?

The merchandising and hospitality management industries require effective leadership in the dynamic global marketplace. Merchandising and hospitality management professionals need to understand the comprehensive process from product innovation through consumer satisfaction. This requires logical thought processes such as problem solving, decision making, and resource management. Likewise, the MBA is an important credential for success in the merchandising and hospitality industries, leading to critical thinking, decision-making skills and leadership skills. To receive the dual MBA/MS degree, students complete a 54-hour shared curriculum between the School of Merchandising and Hospitality Management and the College of Business Administration.
